The winter Kamo festival was an irregularly held festival celebrated at the Kamo Shrine in the Eleventh Month. It was begun by Uda tenno~ in 889. "Chihayaburu" is a makurakotoba that modifies the gods or, as here, something related to them (Kamo Shrine).
