For Michinoku, see 380. Adachi City is in present-day Fukushima Prefecture, Adachi District. It was famous for the manufacture of mayumi(spindle-tree bows). Lines 1 and 2 (spindle bow of Adachi or the Far North) are a jo linked to "waga hikaba" (if I pull;if I invite). "Sue" (tip) and "yori" (approaching) are engo for "yumi" (bow). |
