歌英語 |
love is as constant / as the dense never-ending / snows that fall upon / Kazuraki Mountain where / I bundle kindling with vines / |
解釈 |
The Yamato dances, which originated in the Yamato area(central Honshu~), were perfomed at the Services for the Dead at court and at worship ceremonies at various shrines. "Shimo to yu~" (bundling as kindling) is a makurakotoba for the kakekotoba "kazu" (ivy)/Kazuraki. Kazuraki Mountain is on the border of O~saka City and Nara Prefecture. The first three lines (of the snow falling on Kazuraki Mountain where we bind twigs with vines) are a jo linked to "ma naku" (without interval). |
