| 解釈 |
"Asajiu no" (of the small reeds) is a makurakotoba for "no" (fields). Shino is a small clumping bamboo. Shinohara may be a proper noun, referring to Shinohara in Yasu, Shiga Prefecture, a place name that appears also in Makura no so~shi, 108. The sound repetition links lines 1 and 2 (the bamboo grass meadows of the fields of small reeds) to "shinobu" (to yearn;to bear). The use of the jo in this poem is similar to that in poems in books 11 and 12 of the Man'yo~shu~. It also breaks after lines 2 and 4, as many Man'yo~shu~ poems do. |
