"Karigomo no" (of the cut reeds) is a makurakotoba for "midarete" (scattering). This is the only instance in the Kokinshu~ of this makurakotoba which commonly is found in the Man'yo~shu~. "Imo (sister; beloved) also has an archaic flavor. |
