Katano City is near O~saka. Kanmu tenno~ had a villa there. Lines 1-3, "of the marsh waters where summer grasses flourish on the surface," are a jo linked to the last lines by zeugma- "yuku" (going; to go) serves as the predicate of the jo and as part of the phrase "yuku kata no naki" (nowhere to go). |
