歌英語 |
can I sustain my / love a long-spun year a time / that stretches far as / the threads offered up for love's / success on Tanabata / |
解釈 |
The opening lines are a jo linked to the main statement by "uchihaete" (stretching out; lengthening), which applies to both the year between meetings and the thread offered up by young women on the occasion of this festival in hopes of becoming skillful at needle arts. "Toshi no o" (the cord of the year) is an engo for "ito" (thread). |
