The first three lines (turning back the hem of the robe of my lover) are a jo, linked by the kakekotoba "ura" (reverse)/"uramezurashiki" (enticing) , as well as by the sense of the poem, to the main statement. This meaningful metaphorical link is called ushin. Poem 25 is an allusive variation (honkadori) on this. |
