Tokiwa Mountain possibly was in Kyo~to, Ukyo~-ku. The place name Tokiwa also means "time" and links the first line (at the time I remember) to the next four. At the same time, the first four lines are a jo, linked to the fifth by the kakekotoba "furiidete" (infusing -dye in water@ ; straining the voice). |
