Regarding academic dishonesty on exams and written assignments

For those who enrolled this fall, you are probably getting used to university life by now. As final exams for the 2025 fall semester will begin at the end of November for the science and engineering fields, we would like to remind you of the following. Unfortunately, instances of academic dishonesty have been observed in exams and report assignments.

If a student is found to have engaged in academic dishonesty on exams, reports, or other similar academic work, all other exams and assignments will be invalidated, and the student will receive zero marks or a failing grade for all subjects taken that semester.

Furthermore, students who cheat during exams or related assessments will be denied enrollment in new courses during the semester in which the cheating occurred.

These students will also be suspended from Science Tokyo.

If a student copies another person's work, the student who showed it to them will be held equally responsible and will face the same disciplinary action as the student who copied it.

Students should be aware that a single act of academic dishonesty will result in having to repeat the year. Please take this to heart and avoid any behavior that may be considered suspicious.
